OBJECTIVE

To link a Project Selection subcategory’s due date to a Schedule Milestone

BACKGROUND

ConstructionOnline’s powerful Scheduling tool allows construction professionals the ability to build and update detailed project schedules. Project Milestones can be used to mark important dates in a schedule. Use a Project Milestone as a deadline for a client selection to mark the significance of the choice being made by your clients and to keep track of that important due date.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

  • Company must have a Residential or Commercial ConstructionOnline Pro account
  • You must have created a project
  • You must have a schedule created and associated with that project
  • You must have at least one milestone created in that schedule

STEPS TO LINK A CLIENT SELECTION SUBCATEGORY TO A SCHEDULE MILESTONE

  1. Select Client Selections from the navigation menu on the left side of the screen
  2. Select a project from the dropdown menu under the Client Selections page title
  3. Edit or create a Client Selection subcategory
  4. Select the Milestone dropdown box
  5. Set the milestone for the subcategory
  6. Select Save Changes when finished

TIPS AND TRICKS

If the Milestone option does not appear in the Client Selection subcategory menu, this means one of two things:

  • there is no schedule associated with the current project; or
  • there is no milestone created in the associated schedule
